Pure Candles Review

Hello Everyone,

Today's post is going to be a review of some candles I recently used by a company called Pure Candles. Pure Candles is a homemade candle company, based in Northumberland. All of their candles are made from soy wax, which is better for the enviroment and better to burn.

I tried two versions of their largest candle, which are both priced at £19.95 each. They have three versions of every scent, the tealights (pack of 8), the small size candle (10 hours burning time) and the large size candle (30 hours burning time).

On their website (which you can check out here) they have 9 scents to choose from. I got the scents Grapefruit and Bamboo (you can find this here) and Pomegranate and Pepper (you can find this here).

My favourite scent out of the two is the Grapefruit and Bamboo one. This is described as 'A zesty fresh citrus scent of pink grapefruit, with green notes of bamboo'. This definitely is a very fresh, zesty scent and the pink grapefruit is very present. When burned, the scent disperses really well and doesn't fade (like many candles). I also like that these candles don't tunnel, so no wax is wasted.

The other scent, Pomegranate and Pepper is described as 'Rich forbidden fruit with invigorating notes of pepper'. I found the scent of this was really well balanced between sharp and spicy. There was a great balance between the two, and they work well together. Again, when burned the scent dispersed really well, and didn't tunnel. You can really see the difference in the quality of wax with these candles.

Overall, I was really pleased with these candles. They are some of the best I've used, and I have really enjoyed burning them. I would definitely recommend them to anyone with a keen interest in candles, especially smaller business/handmade ones.

Thank you all for reading!
